Our approach to TCM is modern, where traditional knowledge and best practices  are combined with latest and scientific discoveries. We provide a holistic program with diagnosis and multi-faceted approach to healthcare, with the right solutions that are relevant for everyday living and aging well. Aging Related Symptoms

Here at Life TCM & Wellness Centre, we take the idea of aging well seriously. Having a healthy lifestyle, proper nutritional care and exercise can alleviate muscle stiffness and joint aches attributed to growing older.

Osteoarthritis, muscle aches, knee and hip joint pain, back pain, frozen shoulder are some musculoskeletal symptoms which benefit well from a TCM approach.

Metabolic issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure responds very well to a regular TCM regime.

Lifestyle Management

Sedentary lifestyle coupled with stress, work life imbalance will lead to many health issues, if not addressed early on.

Sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, tensions headaches, fatigue are some of these lifestyle issues which may not cause illness but do cause inconveniences, which may respond well to a short term TCM approach.

For ladies, we have programs to manage symptoms of vertigo, womb care, hormonal changes related to menopause and irregular periods.

Slimming & Tummy Roll

For a slimming or body shaping program to be successful and sustainable, the TCM solution must be tailored specifically to the client’s diagnosis, body analysis and lifestyle.

Depending on the physician’s assessment, TCM program will be customised by targeting organs which assist in increasing metabolism and lymphatic flow. Our program encompasses an approach ensuring long lasting results.


Physician Duan Qian Mei

TCM Physician (TCMPB registered)

Physician Duan Qian Mei has over 15 year’s experience in TCM. She graduated from China’s  Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a Bachelor’s Degree. She has practised in China, Singapore, the United States of America. She is  well-skilled in acupucture and has treated many lifestyle health issues like metabolic syndromes, health issues related with a sedentary lifestyle, chronic fatigue syndrome as well as obesity and aging related health issues.

Her past accolades involve achieving 95% efficacy in abdominal weight loss in her clinical patients. Physician Duan is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Physician Duan’s speciality is in using her skills in diagnosis as this is crucial for ensuring efficacy of the TCM programs. She is well skilled in acupuncture, cupping and combining this with herbal medication to achieve the best results and solutions for health conditions.  Prices start from S$25 for initial consultation and review from $15. 




Cupping eliminates cold and removes bodily moisture, unblocks meridians, removes stasis, mobilize Qi and improves blood circulation. It also reduces swelling, relieves pain, extracts toxins, and releases heat, by regulating the Yin-Yang balance of the body to relieve fatigue, and strengthen one’s immunity. Prices start from S$25.


Acupuncture, a key component of traditional Chinese medicine, is most commonly used to treat pain. It is also increasingly being used for overall wellness, including stress management. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force. Prices start from S$35.


Moxibustion is an effective heat therapy used to stimulate acupuncture points in the body to trigger healing response. Sluggish, deficient or stagnated Qi from poor lifestyle or illness when stimulated,  will amplify the healing effects of acupuncture and alleviates chronic stagnation. Prices start from S$80.

Guasa/ Scrapping

This is a natural alternative therapy that invoices scraping of the skin with a massage tool to improve circulation. It is an excellent form of preventive therapy, as guasa therapy is able to pinpoint the root cause of disease, way before it even get to the point of impacting your health adversely. Prices start from S$25. 

Herbal Formula

Herbal Medication forms the cornerstone of TCM. Each herb, supplement has a different function and benefit. Together, they form a formula which is customised for each and every customer to suit the condition and health of the patient. This is important as each’s persons reaction will be different. 

Our medications are safe and regulated by HSA (Health Science Authority) of Singapore and halal certified.

Infra Red Heat Therapy

 Heat therapy is a well used modality to warm up tissues, increase circulation and lymphatic flow in order to enhance TCM treatments.  The far infrared rays penetrate deeply into the body, to activate your body’s own micro circulation, thus removing waste products and bringing in nutrition and oxygen to the area. If there are areas of the body that have been stagnant in circulation, heat therapy will kickstart the healing process.  Price from S$25

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Acupuncture painful ?

Acupuncture experience is different for everyone, but does not cause discomfort or pain. The needles used is very thin (0.25 mm in diameter). When the needles reach the acu-points and the Qi is stimulated by needle manipulation.

It’s normal to feel the energy as sensations such as slight dullness and heaviness. These are considered to be positive responses.

What is in my herbal medication ?

Dried herbs, leaves, seeds, fruits, tree bark make up our herbal formulas. These formulas is customised for each and every customer to suit the condition and health of the patient. This is important as each’s persons reaction will be different.

How is Moxibustion performed ? 

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant materials called “moxa” are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences. Moxa is usually made from the dried leafy material of Chinese mugwort.

What do I need to observe before and after a TCM visit ?

There is no need to fast or refrain from eating or drinking before your TCM visit.

However, you are advised against showering for up to 2 hours after your TCM treatment, as treatment is meant to expel wind and dampness from the body.

After a treatment, it is also advisable to increase water intake to flush out the toxins from the body.
